Paul Edward

Paul Edward is a filmmaker residing in Cairo. Born in1991, he graduated from the High Cinema Institute's Directing Department in 2019. His first short film Fish in the Sea won the Best Short Film award at the Alexandria Short Film Festival, while his second short, Somebody, had been selected in Official Selection of the Cine Promises Competition at the Carthage Film Festival, and won Best Short Film at the Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival, Best Short Film at the Casablanca Students Film Festival and Best Short Film at Masr Dot Bokra Short Film Festival. Recently, worked as executive director and co-writer with WATCH IT platform for the documentary series (Om Eldonia). Also, worked as Producer/Executive director with El-Gouna film Festival for the short documentary film (Ancient Egypt in Film). And first assistant director with PBS for the documentary film (Tutankhamun: Allies & Enemies).
